Problem that technology is supposed to solve :
There remains a good deal of predictive and advisory research outputs that have over the time remained as publications in journals and databases.
The farming community and other stakeholders who can benefit from these research findings do not have access to such useful information at all or do not have them in readily consumable forms.
As a solution, the CSIR’s DAIH hosts a set of reliable and easy to use integrated web & mobile based platforms aimed at knowledge sharing, technology transfer, market linking and assisting the Agriculture sector with innovative and cutting edge solutions that can be adopted to the real needs of local farmers and other value chain actors.
Technical characteristics of the technology :
The CSIR Kuafo Marketplace platform is a solution deployed to bridge the gap between producers and buyers within the Agricultural value chain. It allows farmers and producers sell their produce directly to a potential wide range of buyers within and outside Ghana. This solution also inherently solves partially the problem of traceability of farm produce.
Economic characteristics of the technology

- Comparative advantage :
Limits of the technology :
Internet based solution and hence requires internet connection for use. This limits its use in rural communities where internet connection is not accessible.
